Ultrasound imaging is the common name for Ultrasonography, a type of medical Sonography. Ultrasound images are most often used to view a fetus in the womb, muscles, tendons, or other internal structures that wish to be viewed in real time. 3D Ultrasound is also another type of ultrasonography that has increased in use and popularity to capture a 3 Dimensional view of an unborn baby.
