Description:
When enlarged facet joints place pressure on the nerves in the spine, spinal stenosis decompression surgery can be used to trim back the facet joints to allow more room for the nerve. In some cases with the cervical vertebrae, a cervical discectomy and fusion will also be required as part of the surgery to alleviate chronic pain.
