A sports physical may be required to participate in some athletic activities. The doctor will review your medical history and give a physical exam to check for any complications you may have while participating in your selected sport. Most offices include: observation of heart function, listening to the lungs, blood pressure check, cholesterol test, lifestyle questions with counseling, palpation of the abdomen, and reflex testing. Reproductive organs of the female are not examined, however these organs are examined on men to ensure health and discuss injury prevention.
