Physicals can differ from office to office, but a basic annual physical is meant to cover the basics only. Tests and examinations that are meant to catch diseases and conditions at a stage early enough to prevent a more serious problem. Most offices include: observation of heart function, listening to the lungs, blood pressure check, cholesterol test, blood panel for kidney and liver functions, reflex testing, and an external examination of reproductive organs. A PAP is usually a separate fee if you wish to include it. You can also discuss any past conditions with the doctor at this time and go over your medical history and family medical history to determine if any additional tests or labs are needed.
