Joint Replacement - Elbow (Orthopedic)
Body Area: Arms / Hands
Body Parts: Elbow
To replace the elbow joint, you will be under either general or regional anesthesia and the surgeon will need to remove parts of the humerus and ulna in order to attach them stems of the new prosthetic joint. The stems will be inserted into holes drilled into the humerus and ulna. Bone cement will secure the new elbow join in place.
