Intermediate care is sometimes referred to as Rehabilitation. In an Intermediate Assessment, the physician will go over your recent surgery and assess your needs for continuing care, therapy, or other needs that may arise during your exam and consultation with the doctor. An intermediate assessment is usually used after a surgery on the road to recovery, but a minor assessment is for rehabilitation after an injury.
