An Electromyography (EMG) is conducted to analyze and record electrical activity of the muscles.  Frequently an EMG is performed in conjunction with a nerve conduction study.  EMG may assist in the diagnosis nerve compression or injury, nerve root injury and with other muscular or never dilemmas.
