Electroencephalogram (EEG) (Neurology)
Body Area: Head / Neck
Body Parts: Eyes
Symptoms: Enlarged Pupils
An electroencephalogram or EEG is used to detect problems within the circuitry of the brain. EEG is most commonly used to help in diagnosing seizures, confusion associated with amnesia, evaluation of head injuries, tumors, infections and degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's. The EEG reader will be analyzing brain waves to determine if they are within normal, waking, conscious range and present a treatment plan based off of the results.
