Dupuytren's Contracture Release (Orthopedic)

Body Area: Arms / Hands
Body Parts: Fingers
Symptoms: Unable to Move
A Dupuytren's contracture is identified when the tendons connected to the fingers cannot move freely, resulting in fingers that cannot be fully extended. Release of a Dupuytren's may involve surgery to remove the fibrous tissue, or a noninvasive treatment such as needle aponeurotomy, radiation, Xiaflex collagenase injections, or topical treatments.
