Body Parts: Genitals

Description:
A cystoscopy is a procedure in which the doctor is able to view the inside of the urinary bladder and urethra using a thin, flexible tool called a cystoscope. This procedure can assist in solving the patient’s urinary problems, infections, or bladder stones. It can look at areas that are more difficult to see with an x-ray. The patient is usually given a dose of anesthetic if having a cystoscopy.
