Description:
A blood vessel malformation that results in a well defined lesion in the brain or spinal cord. They can cause intermittent hemorrhaging. Surgery is appropriate when recurrent hemorrhaging, progressive neurological deterioration or epilepsy exists. The lesion is excised surgically often with very good results even when deeply seated in the brain.
