Anesthesia - General (Anesthesia)

Body Area: Abdomen
Body Parts: Bladder
Symptoms: Painful urination
Description:
General anesthesia is a procedure in which the patient is made unconscious so they are able to be operated on with relaxed muscles and without physical pain or memory of the operation. The anesthesiologist will monitor the patient and make sure before hand that it is safe. After "induction," when the loss of consciousness is initiated, the patient's body becomes excited or delirious before reaching the stage where the patient can be performed on.
